Matthew 25:35-40
For I was hungry and you gave me something to eat, I was thirsty and you gave me something to drink, I was a stranger and you invited me in, I needed clothes and you clothed me, I was sick and you looked after me, I was in prison and you came to visit me. Then the righteous will answer him, ‘Lord, when did we see you hungry and feed you, or thirsty and give you something to drink? When did we see you a stranger and invite you in, or needing clothes and clothe you?  When did we see you sick or in prison and go to visit you?’ The King will reply, ‘Truly I tell you, whatever you did for one of the least of these brothers and sisters of mine, you did for me.’

 

 

We prepared 100 kg of biryani (chicken, rice and other ingredients), feeding over 400 people, Cooking in large pots, we packed and distributed food on the streets.

This winter’s extreme cold (3-6 C at night) hit the homeless hard. Many have fallen sick due to high fevers and viral infections. Your gifts brought joy and hope!

Additionally we provided blankets, sarees (women’s wear), toys, coloring books, chocolates, sweets, warm clothes for children

Children were delighted with their toys and books, immediately engaging in coloring and asking about the images

Elders expressed heartfelt gratitude, some with tears, for the food and the blankets

We encountered lepers with severe physical impairments who were forced to beg for survival. We gave them blankets , food and tried to share the good news. Despite these hardships your kindness brought smile and hope

Heartbraking realities: homelessness has surged since COVID-19, with many losing homes, jobs and business. Struggling to find work, some survive by scavenging and eating rats. Families live in plastic tents amidst garbage, battling snake infestations and diarrhea  conditions. Yooung people and women often face exploitation.
